The more I think about the ratings, I’m less of a fan. Pure numerical ratings of a company are great in theory but don’t capture the essence of a team or why a GP is bullish on the company. Rating every category a 5 isn’t fair but at a glance, a company with an avg rating of a 3.5 may not seem good w/o the context. I worry if a LP or founder happen to see this then it could open up a can of worms. From a product perspective, I would like the option to remove them as a requirement for my fund, not require filling out a score and not show scores on deal memos.

Currently the LP or the Founder will not be able to see the rating system. However, we are working on an option to turn this off for the export. The rating system was adapted from many top VCs who use this to create cumulative ratings between partners.
