Odd Friday Thought/Question: as many of you know i have been doing dinners in Seattle, SLC, SF and other places for many years. We are also now oversubscribed to our fund. EVENTS work! I would be happy to partner with other fund managers that have closed/or are close if they help me find sponsors. I do all the work but getting sponsors is a constant and never ending job. Just a thought. Jon

Congrats Jon! I’m looking forward to starting events as a next tactic to drive PACTs. Appreciate any resources, playbooks, etc. you can share.
I have two opportunities to do small events in Minneapolis and Orlando in the next two weeks alongside conferences that I may attend.
are you all aware Decile is building events into their software?

i would partner by having another fund help bring sponsors and we would cobrand the event. I would /can still do all the logistics
Jon Staenberg Gotcha! We're still just now doing our 1st close & building relationship with sponsors, too. I might be a better ally after a few subsequent closes.
Jon Staenberg seeing this late, if you're still interested in doing something like this, let's discuss. I'm based in Silicon Valley - we are getting close to a first close on Fund IV and are thinking about a framework for events. I think finding sponsors shouldn't be too hard.
