I am organizing tomorrow 20/6 my 3rd web3 (LP) dinner, which after the inaugural one in Geneva mid-May, will be the 2nd in Paris this month.

On several occasions, this format was discussed here by participants and the VC Lab team and I invite you to test it too: great occasion to 1) show you can build a network, 2) talk about your market through deep convos (no pitch) and 3) get intros to prospective LPs. In this 3rd edition, I will host 9 people, about half pre-seed web3 builders (my investment scope) and half operators/investors/connectors.

Interesting, thanks for sharing that Raphael. Have hosted dinners in the past and find them effective for connecting and content generation. I’d be interested in the format you use - are you hosting (paying) for the dinner yourself or do folks pay themselves? Do you control the invites or let guests bring / suggest others? Do you have one conversation at dinner or multiple?

1. everyone pays her share of the dinner and we're all happy with that casual approach
2. people sign up but until I haven't confirmed their seat, they're not part of it, so that I curate the attendance
3. regular dinner where you'll speak to the people closest to where you're seated and when some people get out to smoke :) we reshuffle their seats so that you have multiple convos
and yes I encourage everyone to refer relevant contacts to sign-up to the newsletter that announces the next dinners, but there's no +1 for the dinners
Like this format!

Jeffrey Manner Marco Donadeo we should consider this :)
