The decile hub as 3 pipelines by default: 1. Fundraising-> Limited Partners Funnel, 2. Dealflow -> Deal Funnel 3. Connectors -> Connectors Funnel
The browser plugin however offers to add people or companies to "pipelines" add has these 3 options: connectros limited partners recruiting
Three questions: 1. Why different terms? Is a funnel different than a pipeline? 2. The names don't match. I want to add someone to "Deal funnel" from the plugin, but I'm not sure how to do that. 3. Why is "recruiting" even an option?
My main goal with this question is to figure out how to get people/companies into different funnels via the browser plugin Thanks!
1. In Decile Hub, "funnel" and "pipeline" are used interchangeably to describe the stages a prospect goes through. They essentially mean the same thing.
2. To add someone to the "Deal Funnel" using the plugin, select the option that corresponds to the Dealflow pipeline. The names might differ slightly, but they refer to the same process.
3. "Recruiting" is an option because Decile Hub can also manage recruiting processes, allowing you to track candidates similarly to prospects in other pipelines.
Hi Michael, much appreciated, I will spend some effort trying to consolidate these names.
The auto-answer is pretty solid, but I'll expand a little bit:
Part of the issue is that you're on an older Hub account, created prior to our name change from "Limited Partners" to "Fundraising", so you're seeing the older terminology. Similarly, we changed "pipeline" to "funnel" for salesy-type workflows, so that needs to be updated across the board and you found a place where it is not. We tend to use the words interchangeably, so it's not surprising the name didn't change everywhere. Lastly, you likely have a Recruiting funnel in your account but it is hidden by default by the left nav settings.
Regarding why you can't add somebody to the Dealflow funnel, it's because you chose a Person and not an Organization to import. The deals funnel can only accept organizations. If you choose an Organization, the Deals funnel should show up as well.
