Hi.  I thought I posted this but I can't find the question so maybe I screwed it up.

We have taken our DecileHub prospect DB, exported it, and then used a combination of tools and manual work to enhance, putting in LinkedIn URLs and email addresses for many records that did not have that data.

How do we now merge this info back into DecileHub, updating existing records?

Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, I don't have clear documentation on hand about the specific steps for re-importing an enhanced CSV to update existing records in DecileHub.

I'd recommend reaching out directly to the Decile Hub support team so they can walk you through the best approach for your situation. You can also try posting this in the support channel if you haven't already, and a team member should be able to get you the right answer quickly.

Sorry I can't be more specific here!

Hey Michel, you can bulk import data into hub via a CSV. If the first + last or email row match an existing contact; then Hub will perform an update instead of an insert. I think that should serve your purposes here.

Awesome.  Thanks.  This is functionality that everyone should know about.

Thanks

Hey Michel, you can bulk import data into hub via a CSV. If the first + last or email row match an existing contact; then Hub will perform an update instead of an insert. I think that should serve your purposes here.

Woody, something to note.  In many cultures you will find names that repeat much more than in the West.  There are apparently over 100,000 people named "Zhang Wei" in China.  Meanwhile, in the Islamic world, which is more relevant to what I do, you can easily have a meeting that includes two people named Muhammad Ali.  Cassius Clay chose one of the most common Muslim names.

I would very much appreciate a setting that lets you automatically merge by email but not by name.

Also highlights the importance of tracking more than one email per person.
