Can you please explain why there is now a regular API key and a legacy API key?

What is difference?  Why should I bother switching?

Great question! Based on what we know:

  • Regular API key - the current, up-to-date key format that is actively supported and secure
  • Legacy API key - an older key format that may still work but is no longer the current standard

Why switch? The main reasons to move to the regular key are to ensure you're on the supported version and to avoid any potential issues down the road if legacy keys are deprecated.

That said, I don't have full technical details on all the specifics of the two formats. I'd recommend reaching out to support directly for a more complete explanation of any functional differences. You can contact the team at support@decilegroup.com and they can walk you through it!
