In a Start Fund, Decile Group serves as the General Partner (GP), not you. You are the Investment Lead, which is a consulting role where you handle sourcing LPs, identifying investments, managing LP communications, and more, but the final investment decisions go through Decile Group's investment committee.

This is intentional and one of the core design features of Start Fund. It allows you to launch quickly and cheaply without needing to set up your own GP and management company entities upfront.

The good news: if you want to become the official GP of your fund, that path exists. You would set up your own GP and management company (Decile Group can help with this), and then Decile Group would create a transfer agreement to move the LP entity over to you at a mutually agreed date.
