You're correct that the current merge flow requires selecting individual pairs of contacts to merge them one at a time. Here's how the process works:

1. Go to the People Directory in the left-hand navigation
2. Check the boxes next to two records with the same name
3. A "Merge Selected" button will appear at the top of the screen
4. Review the information from each record and choose what to keep
5. Click "Merge Selected" in the bottom right corner to combine them

Unfortunately, a true bulk merge (merging multiple duplicates in one action) is not currently available. You do need to work through duplicate pairs individually.

Thanks for flagging this as a need! I'll make sure it's noted as a feature request. In the meantime, the duplicate detection alert at the top of the People Directory can help surface pairs that need attention, which may speed things up a bit.
