Hi.  Can you please explain how newsletter email delivery works?

Do you send out the newsletters from our gmail or from a separate email server?  Do you have throttling so if we are sending email to a large number of contacts we do not trigger Gmail's volume limits, etc?

Hi! Great questions. Here's how it works:

Sending Source
- If you have connected your Gmail or Outlook account via the Integrations menu, newsletters send through your personal Gmail/Outlook account and servers -- just as if you sent them yourself.
- If you have not connected Gmail or Outlook, emails go out through Decile Hub's servers (SendGrid), with your name and reply-to header set to your email address.

Daily Volume Limit
- There is a combined limit of 500 emails per day across all sending activity (newsletters, pipeline emails, etc.). If you have more than 500 contacts and trigger a send, only the first 500 will go out that day.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind
- Because connected accounts send through Gmail/Outlook directly, your own email account's reputation affects deliverability.
- If you are using a newer domain and sending finance-related content to recipients who have not previously received emails from you, there is a higher risk of landing in spam folders.
- Sent emails will also appear in your personal Sent folder if you are connected via Gmail or Outlook, so you can track standard bounce-backs or delivery errors there.

Hope that helps clarify things! Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

If only first 500 go out, do others get queued up for next day or lost forever?

@Woody Butler
 Do only the first 500 go out and the others are lost forever or do they get queued up and sent the next day?
Hey  @Michel Friedman
! So, the first 500 will be sent on your first day. If you need to re-publish, you can do so on a later day and then 500 more will be sent but that's the limit. And you have the option to send these from your own Gmail account or our SendGrid servers. We rate limit the emails either way.
The 500 limit for accounts was actually specifically chosen since that is google's standard per-day email limit

 Given how VC Lab pushes us to call and call I think you will find that many people will have lists of over 1,000 people.  Can you please discuss this with the team?
