Can you please explain how to use the Next Contact field in LP Pipeline?

I cannot put a date in it.

I can create a new task, but when I select it as a task I Want to do in a week it asks if I want to execute it right now... and I do not want that.

I cannot figure out anything I can do from this field except to immediately execute a task or to create a new task for that LP but not to say it is next task and should update date in "Next Contact".

The "Next Contact" field in Decile Hub allows you to set a date for a follow-up task or interaction with a contact.

Here's how to set a date for a follow-up task or interaction with a contact in the Decile Hub:

1. Select the Task: Click on the "Next Contact" field and choose the task you’d like to schedule:
  • Send Email
  • Add Note
  • Set Variable
  • Copy to Pipeline
  • Move to Stage
2. Set the Date: Click the Calendar button to pick a future date for the task.

3. Automate (Optional): If you wish for the task to be executed automatically on the chosen date, enable "Automate this Task".

4. Save the Task: Click on "Save Task". The task will be added to the list under the "Next Task" column.

The task will now get added to the list of tasks and can be found under the "Next Task" column.

To modify a task date
:
  • Go to the "Next Task" column, click on the calendar button next to the task, change the date, and it will automatically save the new date.

So it is NOT "Next Contact" - you may be creating a new task that is after already-scheduled taxes.

When you schedule a new task that involves, for example, sending an email, it will be placed in your task list according to when it was created. If there are already scheduled tasks that come before it, these earlier tasks will take priority as they are marked as the "Next Contact" events.

Additionally, when adding quick notes, you can also set a reminder by clicking on "Add a Reminder date" below the note field. If the reminder date you choose is earlier than any other scheduled task, this reminder will supersede the previous dates, ensuring it becomes the priority task in the "Next Contact" field.

Yes... but then you need to think about how to handle the case where someone says something like "I do not have liquidity right now.  I will look in 3 months."  We need an easy way to push back 3 months... which is what Next Contact is in the other CRM systems I have used.

hopping in here. 

The push back of all tasks to another start date is a separate item that we discussed on our call last week. So let's keep that as a separate item and address the next contact field as a standalone. 

Or would you say your main desire is that a calendar selection of Next Contact changes the date of the very next task and waterfalls to all tasks that are to follow.

Yes.  With option to include a new task as well, since I often use it when I talk to someone and they say "Call next week".
