I created an event, and now want to send myself and my wife a test email. It doesn't work (the green button is grayed-out, and gives the error message that I must enter an email address -- which as you can see, I've done:
Hi Robert, the template needs you to add at least one person to the Guestlist so that it can use that person to personalize the email. Otherwise, it doesn't know what to do with the variables that are in the email template. From the Event Details tab, you can click "Add a Guest" and add yourself, then try again.
OK, I'll try finding that "Add a Guest." But why does it have the pop-up I've circled above, onto which I CAN type email addresses?? This makes me think this is the way, and where, I'm supposed to enter it, to send a person a test-email.
That is still the way, but you need to add somebody to the pipeline first before you can send the email. Otherwise, how would you test the email body with a sample attendee's data replacing the variables? Happy to jump on zoom if necessary to describe further.
