Ask AI
BUG. 1) I tried to send a pact to a prospect who did not have an email address in his profile. 2) I added his email in the email template. 3) I clicked send and I got a validation error saying that the email did not exist. It seems that the email was not sent. 4) I then went to user profile page and tried to update the email address field. I got the error message pasted below. 5) I then went back to the previous send email page and managed to send the email but i new user got created! And the email address appeared in the the email salutation, instead of the LP's first name!  Please merge both profiles. If I don't hear back from you shorty, I will delete the previous user with its history so that this is resolved promptly. The optics of this bug are pretty bug for LPs....

Assing steve17trent@gmail.com to Steve Trent's profile
I need to correct this asap because it looks quite bad. Note that I remove the steve17trent profile

Btw, I realized that I submitted the first three comments with the anonymous check box checked. But my comments appeared authored under my name. It seems it is another bug

Hi Javier,

Thanks for the detailed report on this. I can give some context and workarounds for the future to start:

1. The "Email is already taken" error will happen if you've already got a person with that email in the system. We should improve this error message to be more helpful though, I've made a note to do that. If you go to your person directory (https://kembolventures.decilehub.com/people) you can search "trent" to find the duplicate people and merge them:

Your own comments will not show anonymously to you, just to others. You can see which comments were made anonymously by you via the Icon.
