An LP is interested in making a commitment to a venture capital fund from a retirement account (Roth, 401K, etc). Is it possible to do this? If yes, please direct me to an article or document that explains how to do it.

This is possible via a self directed IRA with experience in venture capital such as STRATA.

I would normally just update this myself, but since you're the expert, you may know something I don't: Did you mean IRA instead of RIA?
