Hi all, I'll be driving cross country from NY - CA after xMas, doing a little roadshow meeting with potential investors and partners.
Would be great to meet up with anyone in person if we happen to cross cities. Already plan on meeting in LA.
Stops include Nashville, Austin, LA, Bay area, I'm sure a few other places (Phoenix, SLC).
Here was my intro in the channel if your goals are aligned.
---------
My guiding principle these days: I believe the future of the American economy depends on our ability to create new jobs by commercializing high tech innovation. I was pleasantly pleased to hear Adeo comment on similar mission for VC Labs.
> Hightech Innovation and marketing expertise are two cornerstones of U.S. Strategy for global competition. We will never have the lowest cost of labor or raw materials, so we must continue to exploit advantages further up the value chain. If we cannot at least learn to predictably and successfully bring high tech products to market, our countermeasures against the onslaught of commoditizing globalization will falter, placing our entire standard of living in jeopardy. - *Geoffrey Moore*, Crossing the Chasm
My goal is to create high tech jobs in America through a venture studio that commercializes technology currently available in university tech transfer groups.
This will require multiple funding mechanisms for the operating studio and the pre-seed/seed venture fund.
I've spent the past 10+years teaching researchers how to commercialize their IP through the National Science Foundation Innovation Corp program. I work with researchers at UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and UC Santa Cruz. Additionally, I'm an adjunct for Lehigh University graduate school of engineering teaching commercialization. That's all my side gigs. I've been a product manager and moved into new product development, code for sales learning how to sell solutions from a white board. That led to Silicon Valley and multiple startups as first sales hire/co-Founder leading Zero - $1 revenue and multiple companies to Series A funding. Additionally, I've been a Revenue Consultant for many startups and big tech (Uber Eats, Facebook, etc.)
I've already met 1/2 dozen people through VC Labs that share this mission and looking forward to meeting more.
