Today, my wife was doing some financial modeling for her project. She knew answers to almost 90% of the questions, so she feed the prompting to ChatGPT. Two places, it made silly mistakes. I tried to fine-tune the prompting. Still, some of the answers were incorrect. These are fifth grader calculations in using simple algebra to calculate unknowns from known values. Bard made mistakes at different places. She lost her trust with these AI tools. No idea what went wrong and how. We need, with government support, a highly trust worthy system before it goes mainstream. Otherwise, it would definitely cause a havoc in the society for sure.

Two reasons: 1. We need someone to blame if something goes wrong, and if it is the government, it would be much easier, and 2. They would come to rescue in the event of a fall like our financial system. Otherwise, they would take hell of time to let the damage and pain prolong. Case in point: recent banks collapse and their quick actions to save them versus cryptocurrency companies like FTX misdeeds and their lethargic actions.

I understand, we're in a no win situation if something goes wrong. The best odds in the history of the world are to not have the government in charge.
