When I try to send an email using a template from the People Directory it deletes the email address and does not sub in the variables.

Thanks for flagging this! This is a known issue with the People/Directory page and it's already on the team's list to fix. We'll look into the variable substitution problem you're seeing as well.

In the meantime, you may have better luck sending emails through the Dealflow company page or the Fundraising pipeline instead, as templates tend to work more reliably from those areas. Let us know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for this report, we'll look into this.

I think short term workaround will be to use the 'send email' button from pipeline instead.
